Notice of Race
The Jib and Main (JAM) Summer Regatta Series consists of eight scheduled races open to all sailing boats. The organizing authority is the Eastchester Bay Yacht Racing Association (EBYRA).
The regatta will be governed by the United States Sailing Association, The Racing Rules of Sailing 2001-2004 and the Sailing Instructions. A boat shall have a minimum crew of two people on board at all times.
The series is open to all sailing non-spinnaker boats, with a valid 2002 YRALIS or local (EBYRA) PHRF certificate.

Boats without YRALIS PHRF certificate will be assigned one by EBYRA.
The races will take place on Sundays 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/8 2002. The start line will be in the vicinity of 46A. The warning gun will be at 2:50 pm. The JAM series takes place in the waters west of Execution light and in the waters of Eastchester and Little Neck Bays
Courses will be signaled from the committee boat according to course codes in the Sailing Instructions.
To qualify, a boat must compete in at least four races started in its division.
If a boat performs race committee duties for one race, it will be counted towards one of the four qualifying races.
One throwout race will be given to boats sailing in 6 or more races
Races
will be scored using time-on-time based on factors derived from a boat's PHRF
certificate
Trophies to the first three places in each division will be awarded at the EBYRA awards Dinner in December.
Any additions or changes to the sailing instructions or scratch sheet will be posted at the four clubs by 12:00 noon on the day of a race, and will be in effect for that race onward.
